Jolene Detillion | Founder

After 20-plus years of luxury hotel sales and marketing in New York City, Los Angeles, and Maui, I felt ready to take on a new challenge. For years I had been called upon by friends and family for travel advice and recommendations. Where should I stay? What should I see? Answering these seemingly simple questions became the foundation for a new professional opportunity. Having cultivated lasting partnerships and relationships around the world, my entrepreneurial spirit was fueled by my global community and in 2012 the journey led me to create Your Travel Designer. 

I founded Your Travel Designer with the belief that the details make the design. I am dedicated to better understanding the nuances and finer points that make traveling unique to each of us. Through this detailed lens, Your Travel Designer provides full-service concierge travel and crafts itineraries with only our clients' interests in mind. 

My passions have evolved as the company has evolved. I am blessed to have immersed myself in special places, meeting incredible people from all walks of life and being fortunate to have them invite me into their culture. It is these human connections that have made traveling so enriching. As we travel based on journey not destination, it becomes more apparent that no matter country, culture, religion or race, we are more alike than we are different. For me, it is the combination of all the small beauties — conversations over a shared meal, a cup coffee or a glass of wine — that create truly lasting memories.

My favorite destinations are the savannas and plains of Africa, the quaint villages of Italy and France, places where the water calls my name, anywhere I'm on horseback, under a starry sky and all the places I dream about but have yet to reach.

To say it simply, I am passionate about travel. I have always been a very curious person and growing up in an airline family allowed me the opportunity to start traveling early in life. 

I believe that travel is far more than an opportunity to relax and recharge. It is the opportunity to experience cultures, beliefs, customs, and ideas that are different from our own.  It provides an opportunity for understanding, learning, adventure and inspiration.

I pride myself on creating trips that are truly personal to each client, on each departure. My #1 goal is to maximize my client’s only non-renewable resource, their time.  So whether it is a quick weekend away with the kids, a romantic beach getaway, or a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, it’s worth the extra effort to do it right.

Leisha Muraki | Brand Strategist

I believe the most important currency in our world is no longer capital — it is connection. It is a billion global citizens sharing stories, creating experiences and welcoming one another with an Aloha, Ciao or Hello. This is a belief that has guided me around the world. Twice. 

At present I’m readjusting to Seattle weather, having lived in Melbourne, Australia for the last seven years and Rome, Italy for one. As an expat, my professional career centered around art, film, travel and design management, including roles as a tour guide within the Roman Aurelian Walls, Head Designer of St. Jerome’s — The Hotel and Concierge & Marketing rep for Hotel Matisse. The travel community have become part of my lifestyle, rather than a career. It has become a guiding light and a distilled reason for why I do the things I do in my life and the ways in which I do them, in the distinctive way that only I can. I’ve learned throughout the years that I'm lucky to have rooms around the world, only separated by long hallways.

Sirena Chuong | Luxury Travel Concierge

Born and raised in the vibrant city of Seattle, Washington, my journey into the world of travel began at the tender age of 8 when I received my first passport, opening the door to a lifelong passion for exploration. My inaugural international adventure took me to Vietnam to visit relatives. Little did I know that this experience would ignite a flame for wanderlust that would propel me to explore over 20 countries, each holding a special place in my heart.

I've come to believe that travel is the ultimate avenue for life enrichment. It is a medium through which one can uncover the beauty of diverse cultures, savor exquisite cuisines, marvel at the wonders of nature, and forge meaningful human connections.

My career journey has consistently placed me at the forefront of client engagement. Prior to joining Your Travel Designer, I dedicated 8 years to financial planning, serving as a client associate in the bustling city of Beverly Hills, California. Working with high-net-worth individuals, I was the initial point of contact for multiple financial advisors' clients. I handled client calls, addressed portfolio inquiries, and facilitated the resolution of any account-related issues. Whether it was executing stock market trades or providing comprehensive financial assistance, I thrived in ensuring the utmost satisfaction of our valued clientele.
